What a wonderful tribute to your mother. If only all of us could have such sweet memories like that to share and remember. This is such a sweet post. I'm sure your mother is continuing to look down upon you and smiling at you each and everyday.

Oh you celebrate July 10 also!
Today would have been my Dad's 93rd birthday.
We still celebrate it!!!
Your Mom looks like a blast! My Dad had a zest for life too. He still had big plans just days before he died. Here's a salute to those who have gone before us
and who we love so much!

She sounds wonderful Lisa, and how proud she must have been to have raised such a lovely daughter. x

Lisa,
Lovely piece about your mom- She sounds like she was a terrific lady who left you with many wonderful memories- It is often bittersweet to remember when we lose our loved ones -
My memories of my gran are like that- She was a dynamic independent lady who lived on the family farm right until the end of her life.
I love the pictures of your mom- she looks like she was a real dynamo who loved life.
Here's to you and your mom,
With best wishes,
Regards,
Anna

What a lovely post - what a lovely mom - you are so much more fortunate than you can ever know - cherish those memories (I know you already do). Your mom was lovely all her life - such beauty just shines through.

Darling Lisa,
I remember your Mom's passing, but I didn't know she and my Mom shared a birthday. What a lovely tribute you have written here. and yes, it's quite possible that, on this day at least, they've been looking over at their daughters and telling each other what a great job they did....

Hugs !

You described your mom so well that I can just picture what she was like. You can tell she had a joie de vivre:) I'm glad she came to you in a dream after your shrine`it must have given you a sense of piece.I think to have a close relationship with your mom is an extraordinary thing, not one everyone has or had. What a gift to have had a mom like that:)

Janet

This is a beautiful post about your mom. She sounds like such a wonderful person....it would have been fun to know her. It's so difficult to go through life without our mom's by our side. We just need to keep them in our hearts and know that they are always with us in spirit.

Sending blessed heartfelt birthday wishes into the heavens for your beautiful Mom Miss Lisa.

I love all the charming stories about her, her zest for life and how it exuded onto others.

I can't imagine how you must miss her. Lots of love on this special day. xoxo, Vanessa

Happy Birthday to your mom, who now sits in heaven and whispers lovely things in your ear. I just wonder how many times she blesses you from up above because you are such a wonderful daughter. Eighty five is such a nice long life. I just bet she is sitting at the piano with Mr. Rogers singing "Welcome to my neighborhood" as they greet all the new guests to heaven.

How nice you have all of these beautiful photographs and memories.

Dear Lisa,
The memories you have of your mother, all that you share of her zest for life, her wit, her smile and positive attitude touches me greatly. She looks beautiful at her last birthday party. You are most richly blessed to have such a role model and a person to call your mom!!
So sorry she is gone!!!

How lucky you are to have had such a wonderful mother, Lisa. Mine passed away when she was only 53; she was a crazy person too and we will never know what she would have been like in her old days. I still miss her, some 35 years after she went and left us (my 4 sisters, 2 brothers and I)orphans.
Have a nice day.

Your mother sounds like a truly wonderful person! Thank you for sharing the joy she brought into the world. I love the idea that everyone is responsible for their own good time - and couldn't agree more!
