The days sure do fly by don't they? I thought I'd peek in and say hello. Believe it or not I am STILL working on my studio.........not the decor right now but every nook and cranny, every drawer, box, rubbermaid bin and the closet. I have let too many things pile up from the "what do I do with this?" being "just put it in the studio closet for now" syndrome. I have so many sewing supplies ....like a plethora of elastic.....um, why? I am going to put together a box of various items I have too much of and show it in another post this week.....maybe some of you could use it as well as a stack of some calico print fat quarter fabrics. I am happy to share!
I have markers that are dried out, some basic craft paints that are really old, bits of this and bits of that....WHY are they taking up precious space? It's really crazy - of all the other times I've worked on my studio I let too much stay with the intent of going through it all later....not anymore!!!
Since taking the door down a while back (so the door doesn't open and take up wall space) I've been having to set up a blockaid every night to keep the cats out. Mostly Daisy, she thinks what is mine is hers and I find things in her water bowl she has absconded from my studio. Since there is so much out and on the floor it's like a free for all for her........at least she THINKS so. So I had to outwit her........I'm waiting to hear in the middle of the night she's found a way in there (the little scamp is that persistant)
So that's where I am for now.....listening to music while trying not to stub my toes on the debris, tossing things etc. It will all be worth it in the end though.
I hope everyone is having a good week so far, I can't believe the summer is almost over and kids everywhere are readying for back to school. I feel like summer is just flying by....this rush of time thing needs to slow down!
