The women in this photo collage are bloggers who I have had the priviledge of meeting in person. Some are still blogging and others have tapered off but it still is and was a thrill to be able to hug them, hear their voices and in some cases see their art in person. See them smile and meet the person behind the blog.
Had it not been for blogging I never would have met any of them.....enjoyed their company.....reveled in a *4 day trip to Sedona with some...been inspired by their blogs or revel in their artistic splendor in some cases. It was a thrill and always will be each time I get the chance to meet another blogger in person.
Through blogging I have also forged friendships through phone calls.....
a real voice....a real laugh.....a real connection......real conversations where we can learn so much yet have not met in person.
In other cases it's strictly through email but the sentiments and the conversations are just as real.
I used to be a better commentor on blogs, in fact in the early days I was on the computer for H O U R S. But you all know that can't continue because life just happens. I used to get a lot more comments here than I do now BUT I get it.....life just happens. I know you're out there, you know I'm out there and we can quietly tip toe in now and then just to know how things are. It's ok! (trust me when I say I am filled with good intentions)
Blogging has been a blessing to me in so many ways......
Being able to show my art
Telling the occasional story (click on image)
Showing my many home projects(click here)
Talking about real life, speaking from the heart
The joy of creating One World One Heart (for 5 years)
The joy of creating Our World Our Art (for 2012)
Being inspired and hopefully occasionally inspiring others
Being a part of the Glitter Sister Tribe
and so much more.
Oh how I marinate in all of it's goodness !!
I want to thank you for being a part of these last five years and I hope there are many more blogging years together! I feel good just knowing you are out there for me to be inspired by, to learn from, to share our lives.
In celebration of this occasion I am having a creative giveaway......
A brand new set of 24 Derwent Inktense pencils. (click to enlarge)
Derwent Inktense Pencils are as versatile as watercolor pencils, but with a firmer texture that allows them to perform with the brilliant intensity of traditional pen-and-ink. These pencils are available in strong, vibrant colors which work beautifully on their own or can be mixed together to create rich, subtle tones. The pure, clean colors are perfect for bold expressive drawings, including fashion illustration, landscapes, greeting cards, and more.
Inktense pencils can be used dry for rich, intense color or washed out with a little water to create a vivid translucent effect. Once dry, the color is permanent and can be worked over with other media. Pencils are pre-sharpened. (from Dick Blick)
AND they can be used on muslin as well!

Also a Kraft paper box with accordion cardboard inside. Both the box and the accordion can be embellished...painted on.....decoupaged......whatever is in your imagination.
