I've been making art dolls or wee characters in some form forever. Beginning with basic cloth and eyes as a child. I don't create something that isn't speaking to me throughout the process as to who they want to become. I do not have a specific medium as I like to use various things depending on the character/figure. Almost always they come with a back story, after all they now have identities therefore it's important to know just who they are. I have so many ideas on the drawing board just waiting to be brought to life.
