Hello, and welcome to my blog. I am Lisa Swifka and I am not only the creator of this event I am also a participant like all of the others on the list! I am late in getting mine posted but in my mind 'better late than never' - right? I am so glad you've stopped by. Normally I'd offer you some tea or coffee or perhaps a more potent potable and a sweet nosh BUT.....I've just been a wee bit too busy. Don't let lack of refreshments turn you away though......hey you can win something here remember?
I am a Northern California gal who is part whimsical and part bohemian....sort of a Fairy/Hippie....who despite my chronological age I am very indulgent to my inner child. Have a look about when you have time and I hope you enjoy what you see.

So here's what happened......
Wouldn't you know that right when I summoned my Magic Carpet I get this:
Since when do Magic Carpets have an answering service? They're supposed to be magic for crying out loud.
Well as you can imagine I went in to a bit of a panic as to what to do....given I came up with the theme for this in the first place. I tried directory Magic Carpet assistance and you wouldn't believe it but NONE were available.....they were out flying out all over the globe!!
I finally found one but it was only willing to carry cargo, not a human......it was getting thread bare they said....so I agreed to it so my giveaways could be brought in.
(unfortunately bad lighting doesn't render the paintings perfectly but the colors really are lovely in person - trust me)

First Prize is my original painting called "Goddess of the Sun"
12"x12" on gallery wrapped canvas
Second Prize is my original painting called "Bird Song"
11"x14" on 1/2" canvas
Third prize is one of my Lullaby Fairies. This wee fairy is made of polymer clay and sleeps upon a real sea shell.
Winners will be chosen by Random Number Generator...first,. second and third.
Now let's see, am I forgetting anything...I sure hope not...wouldn't that be embarrassing?
Hey look at that.............the Magic Carpet is here to take me back to adding links.....I hope it doesn't get in trouble...I am human after all. (I just hope it holds up)
