Where in the world has Lisa been? Why doesn't she blog like she used to?
Well my friends I have been busy with paint and canvas in blissful solitude as I move paint around listening to music. Finding it's entwined in every pore, every part of my being has had me keeping long hours and when I lay my weary head to the pillow my brain doesn't stop there. After the dry spell I had for months there seems to be a steady stream of interrupted slumber with ideas, colors, themes, images to keep my subconcious up for days. I have let the muses take me wherever they want, leading me in dizzying spirals with no rhyme or reason. I am a happy follower.
In the evenings when I finally need to step away from the easel and paint I sit with my sketch book - even watching TV my hands cannot be idle. I will sketch and draw characters, some end up staying, some a crumbled bit for the recycle bin. It's as if my artist's plane is flying on autopilot over and under the clouds as I see formations in every billow. The birds wings in free flight.........the two trees way far in the distance look like two sisters.............the humming of the engine plays out a tribal sound.......the blue sky far reaching like an endless ocean produces a Goddess overseeing all livng things and I day dream as the flight continues towards a safe landing on my pillow.
And when I wake this is what stands before me, the fruits of my labor....SO FAR!
I hope you enjoy them, I'd love to hear from you!
(all of these and the 2 from previous posts (below) will be in my Etsy shop within a few weeks - that's if I can part with them)
