Before anything else....these candles are for those on the East Coast affected by the brutal storms.....it is so heartbreaking to imagine what they now must deal with....AND for all those whose job it is to put their lives on the line for others day and night. May they ALL stay safe!! My heart and thoughts are with them.
So yes today is Halloween -
Ding dong........Trick or treat! (That reminds me, I better get some candy, we never know if we'll get kids at the door each year)
*****************
It is also Samhain.....
Samhain dates back to the ancient Celts who lived 2,000 years ago. The Celts believed that summer came to an end on October 31st and the New Year began on November 1st with the start of winter. In addition to celebrations and dance, it was believed that this thin veil between the physical world and the Otherworld provided extra energy for communications between the living and the dead.
Believe or not believe........
