Once again time goes by.......
I've been doing some of this
and a lot of this
and eating things like this
You see I've had a bout with diverticulitis...........if you haven't heard of it you can google it (involves the colon) but it's painful enough that I had to go to the ER. Ick! Although it's feeling way better the meds make me queasy (and I still have a few more days of them) and leave a strange taste in my mouth. So it's been a joyful time in the WhimBoho household for sure! (said sarcastically) Lots of TV and movies and loving TLC from BohoHandyman.
It's been cold here......this was this morning's temp!!
I woke up early and sat with a cuppa......
While resting the last few days my mind goes through my list of things I want and need to do around here. I am all about infusing this house with color in accessories, textiles etc.......the colors I (we) love are reflected perfectly in this beautiful bouquet from a wedding site (and Pinterest) below. Someday everything will come together........it's certainly an ongoing process. (interestingly enough I use these same colors a lot in my art, I am just so enamored with them, always have been)
And speaking of art............there hasn't been any of that for some time....not even so much as a sketch. It's been a conspicuous absence that weighs heavy on me because creating artful things is what feeds my very soul. Before getting this "thing" I was in the midst of sorting my studio in readiness to begin again with things more orderly and clean. New ideas come to me in the middle of the night that I am storing up in anticipation of starting anew (including some things for BohoHandyman and I to make together). I've been wanting to get the sewing part of my studio sorted for a while now as well (there are things I want to make) so the other night I sat on the sofa with a mess before me and sorted all the ribbons and trims by type. At least something was accomplished. (hmm, that photo reminds me I still need to paint that shelf unit). See? Another list item.
So that's the first order of business (my studio) very SOON {I need to be prepared for Our World Our Art} - I just need to finish these awful meds so the queasiness stops!
It's all about fulfilling my intentions for the new year.......which did NOT include this bout.
I wanted the new year on my blog to be sparkly and shiny and effervescent and full of new things and new ideas..................Ah but sometimes you just have to roll with it, don't you? The year is still new.
